Pues a primera vista parece que el psicodrama de la #OGL ha terminado mejor de la esperado con #Hasbro/#WotC diciendo que la #OGL1 se queda como está y que el #SRD se acogerá a una licencia #CreativeCommons.
De todas maneras esto me sigue dejando varias preguntas abiertas:
- La OGL1 se queda igual. Lo que quiere decir que sigue siendo revocable por Wizards. Y después de un intento de revocación a ver quién confía ahora en ella. A todos los efectos la han matado.
- ¿Qué sentido tiene ahora la #ORC promovida por #Paizo cuando el líder del cotarro se acoge a algo ya existente y libérrimo como CC? En España por ejemplo la gente de #lamarcadeleste dijo ya hace unos días que ellos se iban a CC y que pasaban ampliamente de la ORC. Lo que me parece lo más lógico.
- ¿Cuánto daño reputacional será permanente para #DnD?
- El objetivo final supongo que sigue siendo exprimir a la gente en #dndbeyond para que aflojen la pasta periódicamente. No creo que esto haya terminado aquí.

I’ve said how ableist #OGL1.2v1 is, & many minorities have pointed out how shutting down 3PP silences marginalized ppl, & the morality clause is especially scary for LGBTQ+.

But in 9, you waive the right to a jury trail, you agree that you’ve had the chance to get legal counsel, and you have to go to Washington for a trial simply by by publishing an OGL stat block, even if you’ve never heard of 1.2 or don’t know English.

I really wish companies that sell products to geeks would realize that we love nostalgia and collectibles, fan arts and related projects. If we buy something free, or from someone else using your "IP", it makes us more likely to buy products from you, not less. (As long as you put in some minimal effort.) This move by #WizardsOfTheCoast is dumb and counterproductive, and is only going to hurt the gaming community- their customers.

This new #OGL #WotC are about to drop is hella sketchy. It basically feels like if some open-source company suddenly said the previous cc0 would no longer apply. I've heard a few people say it is not possible for them to revoke their previous license and I sure hope they are right.
