The last week of May offers summer-like weather. According to the Centro Meteo Italiano, the synoptic situation sees a robust high-pressure area dominating Europe, with ground-level maximums around 1030 hPa over central continental areas. Today’s day will see dry weather conditions across much of Italy thanks to the high-pressure system extending to the central Mediterranean. However, there is still a possibility of isolated showers or thunderstorms in the Northwest Alps, Northern Apennines, and inland Calabria and Sicily. The next few days will not see significant changes with prevailing stability throughout the day and some afternoon phenomena. A hot air bubble will continue to affect Europe, especially Western Europe, with positive thermal anomalies of up to 10 degrees for several days. In Italy, we will have temperatures above average, especially in the Center-North, with maximums that will not have difficulty exceeding +30 degrees. In the second half of the week, and in view of the weekend, we will have a gradual weakening of the high pressure with a greater probability of afternoon instability and a slow drop in temperatures.

In the afternoon, isolated showers or thunderstorms may occur in the Alps and Northern Apennines. From evening, phenomena will subside everywhere with mostly clear skies returning. IN THE CENTER, a day of beautiful weather in the central regions, with sunny skies in the morning and afternoon across all sectors. Stable weather conditions will continue in the evening and overnight with mostly clear skies everywhere. IN THE SOUTH AND ISLANDS, dry weather conditions in the morning in the southern regions with clear or slightly cloudy skies. In the afternoon, instability will increase with possible showers and thunderstorms in Calabria and Sicily. Dry weather will return everywhere in the evening with widespread clear skies. Temperatures will generally rise, with a slight decrease only in the extreme South.

In the afternoon, local showers will occur in the inland areas of Sicily, with increasing cloud cover over Campania, Basilicata and Calabria but without associated phenomena. Dry weather will return everywhere in the evening with widespread clear skies. Temperatures will generally increase.
