The driver was Tom Postman but kids called him Vlad because he had an accent. I'm fairly certain it was bus 8012, but sometimes when he'd show up late he'd be in 8011 or 8013 suggesting there was probably a mechanical issue with the regular bus. The bus was dispatched from the Westmont depot. Pickup time was 7:10 AM.

Shinkansen joy! Even if you are not a train person: visit the Kyoto Railway Museum. Such a bang for your buck. Gives you a really nostalgic feeling and an appreciation for the evolution of Japanese trains. And the gift shop is insane.
