About Dorothea Lotze:
Dorothea is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Certified Educator of Clinical Pastoral Education (#ACPE). Originally from Germany, she earned her Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and Master of Theology (Th.M.) at Candler School of Theology, Emory University. As Executive Director of the Training and Counseling Center Atlanta (TACC), she leads programs that prepare clergy, counselors, and lay leaders to provide spiritually attuned, socially just care.
Dorotheaβs training approach emphasizes #trauma-informed, systems-oriented, and spiritually integrated psychotherapy, drawing on her expertise in Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and mindfulness. She is also a Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation teacher, incorporating embodied practices into her training.
