Question into the #synthesizer /#musicHardware bubble:

I'm staring to look out for lil' x-mass presents and I wonder:

Are there any (as in any at all?!) books out there about "how to program the
#Arturia #MicroFreak"?

I mean. It's one of the most successful and influential synths of the last decade, still very much relevant - but I can't find any books about it.

Maybe the medium "book" is dead in relation to synths nowadays? I mean, there are still DX7 books in the wild ;)

Ferrofluid was developed by NASA in the 1960s but is having a moment in cutting-edge indie maker display systems. Kind of blowing my mind.

Check out DAKD Jung's ferrofluid-display Bluetooth speaker project:

Damn, this is cool. An open source OP-1 clone

Not really sure how it stacks up against the OTTO, but it looks like it's easier to DIY.

LMN-3: Putting The ‘OP’ In Open Source Synthesizers

Some projects you come across simply leave you in awe when you look at the thought and the resulting amount of work that went into it, not only for the actual implementation, but everything around …

Next is “Exploration of the invisible”

https://stephaniemerchak.bandcamp.com/album/exploration-of-the-invisible

an album of sound exploration with limited sound sources: a Moog Mother-32 semi-modular analog synthesizer processed with an Electro-harmonix Superego Synth Engine pedal and a Zoom MS-70CDR pedal. It was recorded straight into Ableton Live in one take with no processing.

Enjoy the journey!
