#MichailBakunin und die #Revolution

In Lyon wurden am 4. September 1870 zum ersten Mal in Frankreich die Abschaffung des Königreichs und die Republik proklamiert. In #Lyon kam es in der Folge zu zwei revolutionären #Commune-Versuchen.

Beide Städte waren organisatorische Schwerpunkte der bakunistischen Sektion der I. Arbeiter-#Internationale (1864-72). In #Marseille kam es ebenfalls zu zwei Commune-Versuchen, der erste 1870 dauerte drei Tage, der zweite 1871 dreizehn Tage.

Es gab #Besetzungen und auch Gegensätze zwischen besetztem Rathaus und besetzter, vormals zentralstaatlicher Verwaltung (Präfektur).

Neben #Barrikaden-kämpfen mit der Armee, die durchgängig verloren gingen, kam es auch zu ersten Streiks, in Lyon der Seidenweber*innen und Textilarbeitenden, in Marseille der Bergbau- und Hafenarbeiter.

Michail Bakunin wurde in Lyon verhaftet, befreit und flüchtete nach Marseille, wo er 1870 sein Hauptwerk „Das knutogermanische Kaiserreich und die soziale Revolution" schrieb. http://www.agspak.de/index.php?limit=10&start=40

Anlässlich des 140. Geburtstages der Commune wurden z.B. die Kommunard*innen als wichtige Vorkämpfer*innen der Demokratie gewürdigt und man zeigte im Rathaus des V. Arrondissements, welches diese einst in Brand gesetzt hatten, eine Ausstellung zu ihren Ehren.

Vor diesem Hintergrund wird das Organisationsmodell der Commune vorgestellt und die anarchistische Rezeption – ausgehend von #Bakunin hin zu neueren Adoptionen wie z.B. durch den libertären #Kommunalismus von #MurrayBookchin und #JanetBiehl diskutiert.

Today in Labor History January 27, 2014: The Kobani Canton declared its autonomy from the Syrian Arab Republic during the Rojava conflict. Supporters claim they have implemented a form of libertarian socialism, influenced by American anarchist Murray Bookchin, with decentralization, gender equality and local governance through direct democracy. They have created worker cooperatives and govern the cantons through district councils, each with one male and one female co-president. The councils have gender quotas requiring at least 40% female participation. They have banned child marriages and honor killings. They are attempting to replace punitive justice with a system of restorative justice. And women play a prominent role on the battlefield, as well as within the political system. Yet private property remains a part of their system, which is inconsistent with Bookchinian anarchism. And according to Andrea Glioti, remnants of the PKK’s Stalinist past remain in Rojava. He cites the ubiquitous portraits of PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan, often accompanied by the slogan “There’s no life without a leader.”
