- Yet noone can tell me that #Millionaires & #Millionaires can't get #broke, #sick or even #unemplyable & #incomeless (they are already #unemployed!), so why ain't they mandated to pay their fair share?

Cuz certainly they too can become in need of care…

Great News Alert! Income-tax-free #Washington state has adopted their first #income #tax on #millionaires only, the highest in the country, at 9.9% (only on a family's income that's over $1M, the first million's still state-tax-free).
In the last days of the session, after 25 hours of #debate, it passed & #Governor will sign. Following #Massachusetts plan, they're taxing *one half of one percent* of the state, just 21K people, but will generate $3B/ year starting in '29.
