My feed today has been full of an argument about voting
In a democracy (even a massively flawed democracy) the worst thing you can do is not vote. You need to get out there and vote, every time you are able, even if all the options stink you need to hold your nose and vote for the one that stinks the least.
I get the hopelessness, I get the feeling that no matter what you do you are damned, those are natural responses but you still need to get out and vote.
Getting out to vote doesn't mean you have to tell a politician or party that they can count on your support no matter what; heck voting in a leadership race (Canada) or a primary (USA) doesn't even mean you have to support that person / party in the actual election if a better option is on the ballot; it just means you are in the fight and are doing what you can. Giving up and doing nothing condemns everyone.
