Bündchen vom Hoody repariert. Ein bis zwei Folgen Inspector Barnaby helfen da gut.
Finished patching the elbow of my sweater, which was getting very threadbare.
My knitting/sewing experience is nonexistent, so I'm really pleased with the result! It's not perfect, and the yarn is a little too thick, but the sweater is usable now.
And even if they're not the neatest stitches I've ever seen, they're definitely the neatest stitches I've ever *made*
Very visible mending
@kommaKucken
I'm trying to reinforce the vulnerable spot before they even can be worn through.
I took a length of yarn and wove it vertically through the loops on the backside at the ball of the foot. Kind of mending before the hole has a chance to appear. It's completely invisible from the outside.
In about 2 or 3 years I'll know if this works ...
Starting a book binding project has motivated me finally to get work done on clothes repair, specifically the pocket of this hoodie that's had holes in it for a while. (To clear my workspace, that is. For the binding.)
I don't know why the sewing machine skipped some stitches in there... but it's mostly alright visually and seems secure. I fixed them up by hand, as seen in the li'l video.
