The ever-increasing #informationOverload means it is becoming crucial for everyone to be able to save as much time as possible, even on the #desiSeconds scale. #Multiidentity is one of several means of helping everyone to both handle own and filter external contents with maximum #efficiency. This is about #ITstrategy, and the #platforms of the #fediverse and related tools should cater for the needs of various groups of people, not only one use case. For example, we should be able to use this platform in #collaboration efforts regarding improvements to #democracy such as #transparency. Suitable #flexibility in #voting and #moderation are good examples of what such platforms should provide. And in particular #discussion #processes towards collective #decisionMaking is something the world simply is lacking and has never seen efficient and trustworthy #solutions for yet (ever...).

In context of #Maturity and the rest of the info in this thread, it is now **only** the awkwardly limited lists feature that still makes it impossible to replace #Twitter / #Tweetdeck with #Mastodon / #Mastalab.

(This is my own opinion/judgement, and I am veey curious to know whether;
a) there are any other, more serious blockers for such maturity/situation change, and if so;
b) whether that/those other such missing features/adjustments actually invalidates my point here, or just adds to it.)

I (repeatedly) want to find/list/explore (only) toots that includes ALL my provided hashtags (or keywords too, really), so that when i search for "#featureRequests" and "#Mastalab", the search results show only toots that has both those tags in them.

Then save and reuse that search later, as a "list variant".

Here is a good example of the negative effect that the lacking "re-tweet"/"re-toot" feature has:

Ideally I would in this case want to quote the toot in a "reply" manner without actually directly addressing or demanding Tom's attention, but only adding the "missing" #i11y and #accessibility hashtags to his positive response, to aid its #visibility and #context when boosted further through the #fediverse.

But this is currently not possible due to a very firm #Mastodon #designDecision.

I never understood @Gargron's negative position on this particular (missing) #feature.

Technically, though, isn't it possible to work around this limitation on the client side, for example in/by #Mastalab?

Not as the only option. I am just flagging that I personally would not mind if there were premium alternatives present too, in addition to using own external #storage or whatever each instance would offer.

I'd like to help identify potential new #funding sources so that the #federation #ecosystem may become as solid as possible.

Technically it should be possible to base the #search function on a set of criterias and features.

E.g.:

- exempting from search results toots from people that are #blocking you

- limiting the availability of the search function on #contexts such as how many times (more than - a configurable - "n") you previously have been blocked by others on the basis of your earlier toots that have one or more of the hashtags you are #searching for or #filtering on...

Agreed, disabling #2FA - even just for the XMPP part - is not good.

IMO, the main reason #XMPP is interesting in this context is the perspective of combining these two #socialMedia worlds with proper security / protection of our precious user account(s) (and by extension: #Reputation (!)).

Here's an example on the current #SocialMedia and #Mastodon problem:

I would like to follow the SocialMedia related posts by @hypolite from my @LeeteqXV account.

a) but only that topic/category, not his political/personal toots...

b) my LeeteqXV account (at mastodon.technology) only shows 12 toots by him, THIS account (at mastodon.host) shows 2600+ toots by him.
