@tom79

I will first adapt my existing (incomplete) multi-ACCOUNT demo "scheme" from Twitter/#Mastodon onto #Hubzilla's #nomadicidentity setup. ("identities" in Hubzilla terminology is multiple "channels" per account)

Each such "channel" has its own "visibility"/privacy settings, so one can be a private/non-public microblog between two or more people, or a public wiki or blog reaching out across the Fediverse, including to Mastodon instances.

FYI; I am combining my public identities by appending 'XV' to each of my aliases, to indicate to people that these accounts or identities or channels stem from the same person using various "hats" (roles/focuses/contexts). Later I will also provide a way to verify which XV accounts are actually me, to avoid confusion with others who also might use that suffix for some reason. You may also see that they use tge same avatar with different background color, facing left when personal, facing right when in context of work/professional activity...

(XV = 15 in latin numbering; 15 is a practical number in various ways: a) it is considered the threshold where a small group is about to become (too) "big",
b) a group of that many people may make exact votes of either 2/3 (10/5) or "more than half (8/7), for voting purposes.
c) Multiply 15 by 10, and 150 people is considered by social science research as roughly the maximum size of a personal social network one can maintain before time constraints start affecting some of the relations negatively.)

Actually, my serious focus is on handling multiple projects, #interests and activities using something like #Hubzilla's #nomadicIdentity #architecture towards the rest of the #Fediverse, including #mastodon, #peerTube, etc.

The ever-increasing #informationOverload means it is becoming crucial for everyone to be able to save as much time as possible, even on the #desiSeconds scale. #Multiidentity is one of several means of helping everyone to both handle own and filter external contents with maximum #efficiency. This is about #ITstrategy, and the #platforms of the #fediverse and related tools should cater for the needs of various groups of people, not only one use case. For example, we should be able to use this platform in #collaboration efforts regarding improvements to #democracy such as #transparency. Suitable #flexibility in #voting and #moderation are good examples of what such platforms should provide. And in particular #discussion #processes towards collective #decisionMaking is something the world simply is lacking and has never seen efficient and trustworthy #solutions for yet (ever...).

Yes, the #hubzilla project, which is also based on #activitypub, has had the concept of #nomadicidentity as its core focus since its inception. That is the first #openSource attempt on tackling #multiidentity that I am aware of. I am currently evaluating their approach.

#ITstrategy

As part of examplifying both limitations, needs and potential in collaboratively facing #nformationOverload, this account is part of a #multiidentity effort that separates topics and focus areas across "identities". This currently means "accounts", which is one of the limitations that we want to examplify. References: KetilXV.me / MOMOC.zone / Zeitgeist.center".

Isn't #funkwhale most relevant in this context?

Plus how #ActivityPub connects it all so that one can use #multiService + #multiAccount clients like #Fedilab to bring them together in one user interface.

And then there is the #strategic & #ITsecurity aspects like the #multiidentity approach of #hubzilla of course, and the principle of being in control of one's account, data, using own domain name (#branding #strategy), and backups/account movability..

One of my most wanted #featureRequests is among the many updates for Mastalab this autumn.

Wonderful. Thanx a bunch, @tom79 :-)

Yes, #mastalab has #bookmarking feature, but being also a #multiidentity app, it is just as annoying as useful, lacking the essential long-press to select which account to bookmark it to.

I have now so many #bookmarks in the wrong accounts that I never expect the bookmark list to be very useful. I keep bookmarking, but in practise "never" actually use them.

Related to #efficiency & #informationOverload.

Thanx for the "warning".
Even though u might not have intended for it to be taken literally as a "warning", I respond to it as such here now:

@Gargron has been doing the same with kittens for a while. As a consequence, I am "following" his account from my personal @EzqimoXV account instead of from my #Mastodon / #SocialMedia focused @LeeteqXV account. I might have to unfollow you from my @ZeniorXV account and follow u from my much less used personal account for the same reason:

I do not want my topic focused timelines "polluted" with lots of "off-topic"/"work-wise uninteresting" bunnies or kitten toots.

Simply a #time and #efficiency concern.

This is why I examplify the use of multiple accounts, and also trying to make a point if why we need "#multiidentity " handling within a single account to combat #informationOverload.
