My first #Magicshine (a Hori 1300 hi/low beam headlight) is now half an year old and still works fine after nearly daily usage. And my LBS actively promotes their #Brompton specific light set "VTG 1000" and uses it on his personal Brompton.

@ascentale @bikenite #BikeNite A8: The past week I saw a nicely restored #CitroënHY in a very spring-ish street with pink blooming trees, maybe cherry blossoms. And as I figured out that now not only #Ravemen but also #MagicShine has stackable bicycle lights with Garmin quarter turn sockets (and they even offer a Garmin socket as replacement part for the original blind cap of their Hori 1300 model), so I had to toy around with putting all such lights I have in one stack on Mr. #Winterbrompton.

Weil mich die am alten #Brompton P-Lenker von Mr. #Winterbrompton immer schrãg sitzende Gummiband-Halterung fürs #Garmin genervt hat und ich die schon vor 'ner Weile bestellte GoPro/Garmin-Halterung von #OCHparts für den klassischen Brompton-Lenkkopf wiedergefunden habe, habe ich diese auch gleich montiert. Und weil neuerdings nicht nur Velolampen von #Ravemen, sondern auch welche von #MagicShine sich mit Garmin-Mounts stacken lassen, habe ich mal einen Turm gebaut 🤓 und es auch #rausgeschafft.

Ich musste heute äh gestern Abend auf dem Schotterweg durch den Käferbergwald nahe der Waid höllisch aufpassen, keine Kröte zu überfahren.

War froh um meine neuen #MagicShine Akkuscheinwerfer mit Fern- und Abblendlicht. Kann mich aber immer noch nicht entscheiden, ob mir der Evo 1700 oder der Hori 1300 besser gefällt: https://chaos.social/@xtaran/115114978507353536

Bin eigentlich nur zum Vergleich der beiden in den Wald. Die Beleuchtung im Video ist das Fernlicht vom Evo 1700.

I recently discovered a (for me) new brand of USB-rechargeable bicycle headlights with high and low beam, #MagicShine. I couldn't decide between two models, Hori 1300 and Evo 1700 and they weren't the most expensive ones, so I bought both and—for fun and comparison—mounted both + my Ravemen FR300 "be seen" headlight+powerbank.

→ Mostly good hardware, shitty Android apps
