The 29km LRT project, previously spearheaded by state government, was taken over by #Putrajaya last year, with #MRTCorp taking the lead

The land acquisition process for the Mass Rapid Transit 3 (MRT3) Circle Line project is expected to be completed in two years, according to Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Zarif Hashim.

There will be no impact on the #MassRapidTransit Line 3 (#MRT3) project, despite the three-month extension sought by #MRTCorp.

This is because contract awards have yet to be finalised, with the Finance Ministry (#MOF) making the decision.

At the end of last year, it was announced that the budget for #LandAcquisition had been approved.

KUALA LUMPUR: The fate of the Mass Rapid Transit Line 3 (MRT3) project remains uncertain as MRT Corp has sought another three-month extension to finalise tenders for the multi-billion-ringgit rail development.

#MRTCorp will begin its #LandAcquisition process in stages from next year for the #MassRapidTransit Line 3 (#MRT3) #CircleLine project, which will take two years to be finalised.

To minimise cost, MRT Corp will cooperate with property developers to integrate the MRT3 #station.

The process is expected to involve 1,012 lots of #land covering private land (842), government land (133) & unknown land (37).

The #alignment for MRT3 has yet to be finalised.
