Researchers at the University of Brighton and University of Strathclyde have developed a 3D printed electrochemical sensor capable of detecting cardiac troponin I, a protein released during heart attacks. The platform uses electrodes costing just 17 cents each, potentially making heart attack diagnosis more accessible. The research was published in Analytical Chemistry. #3Dprint #3Dprinting #Healthcare #Medical #HeartAttack #Sensors https://3dprintingindustry.com/news/new-research-on-3d-printed-heart-attack-sensing-platform-with-17-cents-electrodes-250157/

I recently became involved with a project of Adelaide Uni that aims to "raise awareness around the disadvantage of overmedicalising distress and [to] advocate for a shift in mental health policy toward addressing the social, developmental, and environmental roots of mental distress, reducing reliance on medication-first approaches".
