- Forgot to fill my water bottle. Just as I drank my last drop, I encountered an oasis: a support stop for today’s half-marathon! They had water, snacks, electrolytes. They kindly shared some water with me. Thanks, runners! 🏃
- Also lots of mountain bikers on the same trail. One aggro, all the rest very considerate. They’d call out “3 more behind me!” which was so helpful. 🚵

Notte di paura per Mauro Marin, 45 anni, vincitore del Grande Fratello 2010, che a Poisolo, frazione di Castelfranco Veneto, ha sorpreso due ladri in casa. I malviventi, entrati nel capannone di 2.000 mq con il salumificio di famiglia e il bar-osteria gestiti da Marin e dai fratelli, sono stati messi in fuga dal padrone di casa armato di ascia - che non ha usato contro i due ladri - dopo una colluttazione
Marin racconta di averli affrontati dopo che le sue due cagnoline hanno iniziato ad abbaiare all'1.30 di notte. I ladri avevano tentato di rubare la sua bici e un furgone, ma il macellaio trevigiano li ha affrontati ed è riuscito a farli fuggire nei campi. Sul luogo i carabinieri hanno trovato un telo con scritte minacciose e un bastone con una lattina in cima, segni di un avvertimento mirato.
Marin sospetta un possibile legame con un vecchio procedimento giudiziario archiviato recentemente, ma non esclude che l'obiettivo fosse il salumificio con circa 100mila euro di prodotti. Nonostante la mano gonfia per i pugni, ha rifiutato cure mediche.

It was a night of fear for Mauro Marin, 45, the winner of Big Brother 2010, who surprised two burglars at his home in Poisolo, a fraction of Castelfranco Veneto. The criminals, who had entered the 2,000 square meter warehouse with his family’s salami factory and the bar-osteria managed by Marin and his brothers, were chased away by the homeowner armed with an axe – who did not use it against the burglars – after a scuffle.
Marin says he confronted them after his two dachshunds started barking at 1:30 AM. The burglars had attempted to steal his bicycle and a van, but the Treviso butcher confronted them and managed to make them flee into the fields. At the scene, the carabinieri found a tarp with threatening inscriptions and a stick with a can on top, signs of a targeted warning.
Marin suspects a possible connection with a recent closed legal proceeding, but he doesn’t rule out that the target was the salami factory with approximately €100,000 worth of products. Despite having swollen hands from the punches, he refused medical treatment.
