Hier, j'ai bricolé une disposition de clavier ibus-m17n pour la langue #Kabyle.

Ça reste du bricolage mais ça fonctionne de ouf 😍

#ibus #m17n

The best m17n experience for Korean, Japanese and Chinese languages is GNOME on Fedora Workstation. Settled in it after trying out on various Linux desktops.

To use Korean, for example.

1. Update system

$sudo dnf update --refresh

2. Install input-methods

$sudo dnf install @input-methods

3. Enable hangul like the screenshot below.

#korean @fedora #m17n
#i18n

To Persian language speaker (writer? reader?): which is a more desired rendering of numbers? I am aware that they are different but I can't decide which is preferred. Boosts are highly appreciated. (I wrote it is Arabic but I was wrong. I'm sorry.)

#m17n #i18n #text #ctl

It does matter for some people.

I made a merge request for adding an ability to choose fonts to be installed from presets to pmbootstrap. You can choose from a minimal subset to the full set of Noto fonts. Do you prefer DejaVu fonts? It is supported.

What else? Droid fonts! Do you remember how text in Android looked like before Ice Cream Sandwich?

Fixes #2069 Open...

In #Linux and #MacOS, AFAIK, the $LANG environment var has this form:
<lang.2.letter.code>_<2.LETTER.COUNTRY.CODE>.<CHARSET> (Caps where seen)
E.g. mine is:
en_US.UTF-8
However, when looking up the pathnames for these it is usually: 'en_US/'
What is the the charset extension used for?
I am a newbie in the whole #I18N space and #M17N area.
