Three pandas have taken up residence on this Parisian building, echoing the comic strip Panda dans la Brume (Pandas in the Mist) (ed. Glénat) published in 2010 by Tignous. The artist, murdered during the Charlie Hebdo attacks in January 2015, created this graphic album as a satire of contemporary industrial society and to raise awareness of the threat to pandas, a species that, as we know, is widely endangered." - (translated from French)

It took the Viry-Châtillon artist four days to create this mural using spray cans and acrylic paint. For this six-story tribute, Nilko reproduced Tignous's watercolors but also drew inspiration from the cartoon "Pandas in the Mist," released after the artist's death.
