On day 3 of #LAC26, we saw a lot of clever approaches and genuine systems for #LivePerformance application and advanced #AudioProcessing. I presented Zero 2 Wi-Fi IEM: #Prototyping a #LowLatency #WiFi #InEarMonitoring System Using @RaspberryPi and #JackTrip.

Though it uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi—which is typically crowded by other networks and technologies such as #Bluetooth and #LoRa—I was surprised to experience only a few dropouts during the demo. I could almost walk out of the room without completely losing the connection. 😃

🤓 Installed a LoraWan Gateway & added it to The Things Network. Took some time, mostly due to my sensor station sleeping most of the time. After a while I did see data coming in from my sensors through the gateway over The Things Network onto the server collecting the data. Interesting stuff.

I wonder if I can combine #Meshtastic or #Meshcore with this gateway as well?

Seit gestern mache ich meine ersten zaghaften Schritte mit einem T1000-E und Meshtastic. Ich habe zwar noch nicht richtig verstanden, was ich hier tue, bin aber durchaus beeindruckt, dass ich Sender mit einer Entfernung bis 150 km empfangen kann.

For the last month or so I have been enjoying https://meshcore.io . I now have two radios in my loft. One repeats messages for anyone, the other acts as my own node for sending messages.

It feels extremely nerdy and early internet.

The mesh around Bristol is very strong. As well as local chat, I now see messages from Cornwall to Yorkshire and beyond.

Cost of entry is as low as £30 from Amazon (less from Ali Express).
