I've talked in the past about carrying playing cards.
Unfortunately, playing card boxes aren't really built for life in a backpack.
I've wrapped them with packing tape before and it works well enough, but this time around, I wanted a classier solution.
I decided to try my hand at #leatherworking to make a little sleeve to hold a box of playing cards.
I think it turned out pretty well! Some notes in a thread.

Working on Christmas ornaments this weekend. I usually make a dozen or so to give to friends and family. Left to right is my progress so far!
Bag done!
This thing took way longer than I expected (probably a good 15-20 hours) but dang it's cool.

Crafters of Fedi! I need your help! :)
Edit: Solved! :)
I have a much beloved used-daily journal cover that has two straps that latch onto these ball-type thingies.
In the first photo is the one that's still working, the second one is where the ball has come off the thingy (and lost!). It obviously screwed on (I didn't realize that or I'd have been checking them).
What are these called? How might I find more of them? I figure they must be common in #leatherworking maybe?
Hey #crafting folks! I want your ideas.
I have this leather I got from a couch. What project should I do with it?
I do a lot of costuming and crafting, particularly Lord of the Rings stuff. This stuff is heavier weight than I'd typically use for a jerkin, but I don't know what kind of armor it would be appropriate for.
