The other day, the Queer Majority Substack posted a new interview with Sullivan. A phrase in the subtitle grabbed my attention: “…what began as a fight for love and equality has become a war on reality.”

Here in the U.S., the Right has blamed trans folks for mass shootings they had nothing to do with. They’ve accused trans people of being terrorists and compared the trans community to the Taliban and ISIS.

Jesuits in US bolster outreach initiative aimed at encouraging LGBTQ+ Catholics

Catholic dogma continues to repudiate same-sex marriage and gender transition. Yet one of the most prominent religious orders in the United States — the Jesuits — is strengthening a unique program of outreach to LGBTQ+ Catholics. The initiative — fittingly called Outreach — was founded two years ago by James Martin, a Jesuit priest, He is one of the country’s most prominent advocates for greater LGBTQ+ inclusion in the church. Since then, Outreach has sponsored conferences and launched a website. Now there's another milestone for Outreach — the appointment of journalist and author Michael O’Loughlin as its first executive director. He's the author of a book detailing the Catholic response to the AIDS crisis in the 1980s and '90s.

I’ve already posted that I’m not a fan of #NaNoWriMo because of the stress of failing to meet goals, and how it can turn what should be a joyful, creative experience into a trap for self-doubt. Mind you, I have anxiety issues, so there’s that 😬. But, in the spirit of abandonment and wild chaos, I want to tell you that I “unwrote” 371 words today! That’s right—my WIP went backward after I did some editing!! Radical maverick, that’s me. #antiNaNoWriMo #amwriting #writingcommunity #lgtq #books
