When #NaNoWriMo claimed that LLMs were for people who can't afford an editor, I tried it out to see what it can do. All suggestions were neutral at best. There was none that would have made the story better and a few that would have made it worse. An #LLM doesn't understand what you are writing, so it can't give advice on storylines and plot. It can spellcheck and turn your style into bland mush, though, as @cwebber points out:

Although my original idea was to take my old unfinished #nanowrimo novel and turn it into an adventure game, now that I re-read it almost 8 years after writing it, I actually kinda got hooked and now I'm seriously considering finishing it as a novel instead. Or could be both!
