Nooooooo! 😭 I'm watching a loving crocheted dinosaur unravelling himself (👈 link) to save his most beloved crocheted fox & I feel like I'm unraveling, myself, just sobbing away to a friend while I watch! Why do animators want to break my heart? Holy motherfucking shitballs, this one got me! The moment Foxy tried to save Dino?! 😭 🥺🥺🥺🦖❤️🦊💔🧶🪡 This is Stop Motion using crocheted wool characters. I've never seen a wool one before and I have no idea how they animated an unraveling puppet but it was absolutely perfectly done! They really brought the emotion, not just from the story

I adore this movie on three levels... For the story itself, the incredible stop motion animation & for the disability/neurodivergency allegory I see in it.

Paranorman is deep, dark, emotional, & laugh out loud funny!

A ★★★★ review of ParaNorman (2012)

Paranorman is brilliant! Dark, deep, emotional & laugh out loud funny at times. It's the kind of movie I'd have eaten up as a kid - a new generations Labyrinth! I love how it feels like a disability/neurodivergency allegory, due to how different Norman's ability makes him & how he's ostracised for being real about it. And I love how it was all resolved essentially through weaponised understanding and empathy 😍💔 Such a very neurodivergent course of action!!!
