The tomato and tomatillo plants.

They're growing fast and everything has tomatoes started except the Amish Paste. One of the tomatillo has grown enough to get started weaving it into the trellis.

Peppers, eggplants, basil cuttings, and potted marigolds that haven't been replanted yet.

I'm actually really impressed how good the peppers are growing this year. Even the pathetic looking Jalapenos grew out of their root bound funk and look pretty good.

I put some of the basil cuttings I didn't pot up directly in the soil and that seems to be working ok so far.

Saturday garden photo thread. The squash and melons.

The melons are all doing good and the summer squash have got past their wilting stage but there is still some wilting on the winter squash if I don't give them a good soaking of water in the morning as it starts to warm up.

#HumblePoeticCranes

the binaural hum
of the fridge was
so effective last night
even the voices in my
head were subdued
now the thrumming hum
of chat & chatter are
back & my energy spoons
cast asunder
which if I squint looks like
cat’s ass under
& the world is in
chaotic anisotropic harmony
