My work is yet unfinished: With #iRODS and now, newly introduced, #invenio at my uni, handling of metadata is still a challenge. Lowering the technical hurdle is still on my agenda. (It is just that other matters took precedence.)

Do I have any followers in the library/archives world? I know I follow a couple people. What's the word these days on digital institutional repositories? I know #FedoraCommons and #DSpace were big when I was working in the field ~8y ago, are they still about the same use cases? Any new ones I should look at? #Invenio looks interesting.
Context: a nonprofit I'm working with wants a low-budget archive for some historical docs, scanned and born-digital. Currently they're using google drive.

@engrxiv I forgot to say that a very good #openaccess repository is #Zenodo, based on #Invenio. Under 50 GB stored, it's usually no problem (ask them); you seem to fit comfortably.

If you open a "community" there, you get your own OAI-PMH and all the essentials of an #IR.

You also get integration with #Dissemin for free, which is useful to deposit all the previously published literature.
