#fiberuary is over, but March is National Crochet Month! The Longmont Yarn Shoppe is "yarnbombing" a tree in front of the store. In the spirit of #IntentionalHoles week, here's the strip of crocheted-together granny squares being given a loopy edge that will make it easier to affix it to the tree.

That loopy edge is:

sc, [ch2, skip 1 stitch, sc in next stich]* to end of row.

The plan is to install all the pieces on Friday, so I should be able to share some photos then!

For the last day of #Fiberuary, here is my biggest beaded lace project to date. I replaced the pattern's ribbed border with a modified Victorian lace pattern vaguely reminiscent of Daleks, replacing the nupps with beading. I call it Smaller on the Outside.

Tom Baker is my Doctor. Fight me!

Pattern: Bigger on the Inside (Knitty)
Yarn: Knit Picks Gloss Fingering, colorway Winter Night

Time to close the heel of my second afterthought-fleegleheel-sock.

Last day for #intentionalholes so here is my current lace project. It is called What's New Pussycat. At the very top you can see the start of the next colour. I miss counted at the start of that row, realized my mistake at the end of the row, and carefully unpicked 293 stitches of double decreases and yarn overs. All good now.

#Fiberuary - last day of #IntentionalHoles

Today the most basic type of "#lace " sts - yarn overs. All they do here is create the v-neck shaping.

Pattern is "Wednesday Morning" from Drops, yarn is #handspun #Corridale from World of Wool. Yarn was aran weight instead of worsted, so I made one size smaller.

My daughter gets a lot of compliments for the sweater, especially when she says it's #handknit

Mayvala shawl by Valerie Lenton. Was enjoyable to knit #knitting #Fiberuary #IntentionalHoles @knitting

Today's post for #fiberuary #IntentionalHoles is a sock I'm mostly done #knitting—it's the Van Dyke sock from _Socks from the Toe Up_ that I posted earlier this week.

This pair will probably be subtly different;— this being my first toe-up, I'll need to adjust my measurements.

One more #intentionalholes . This is my first finish of 2023, a cowl called Free Flowing Cowl. Yarn is Merino and silk, my favourite for knitting lace. The holes in the lace trap air to create a very cozy neck warmer. (Dead air space from my thermodynamics training.)

#Fiberuary - #IntentionalHoles day 6

#Lace #knitting - pattern is "Shetland Tea Shawl" - a traditional #shetland shawl, circular, extremely lacy.

I've given it away a long time ago, because while I very much enjoyed knitting it (it went surprisingly quickly) I'm absolutely not the person to wear such shawls.

The most fascinating thing is always the transformation that happens through blocking.
