500 years of #lace history* in my 21st century #EV. I enjoy time travel. And I have plenty of things to read while I'm charging.... *I am the librarian for my lace group and had to haul the whole thing to our lace retreat this past weekend. #Subaru #Solterra #ElectricVehicles

I would like to honor Gertrude Whiting in this #PrideMonth for her remarkable lace legacy. I don't know how she personally identified, but there are hints. And one hint is her "special friend".

At our group #lace retreat this weekend I got this copy of her book. You can see the huge sampler that's tucked in the back of this book at the TheMet. More on Gertrude here:

Happy Pride to all! 🏳️‍🌈

No actual textile today--the work today is packing 500 years of #lace history into the back of my car.

I'm the librarian for my lace group and we have hundreds of books. Our annual retreat is coming up and I have to haul them there.
