Caught between the UK and EU: What’s next for young Scots?
So much of Scotland’s history has been forged by its relationship to England and by one central question: union or independence?
Brexit has given the independence movement new momentum, and with Scottish elections coming up in May, the question is back at the centre of the debating table.

#DouglasAlexander has been Secretary of State for Scotland since September 2025, having previously held the role from 2006 to 2007.
In his first term, in 2007, Dougie insisted that the only way to achieve Scottish independence is for a party to win a majority in a Holyrood election, and then a majority in an Indyref.
Now his #LabourParty insists that there will be no referendum, despite a pro-independence majority.
Read this:
"On the constituency vote, the SNP polled at a dominant 39%, with Reform UK in second on 14%. Scottish Labour polled in third at 12%, followed by the Scottish Greens on 11%, the Scottish Conservatives on 10% and Lib Dems on 9%. "
Look at the chart at the link. See that the SNP will still not win any list seats. Understand that if you want the biggest majority for Indy then you need to vote @ScottishGreens on the list.
There are so many independence supporting list seats going unfilled because people are voting all SNP. We can wipe out Reform and have a massive pro-indy majority.
Remember to vote Scottish Greens (almost everywhere) on the list for a pro-indy super majority.
Wondering why Keir #Starmer kowtows to #DictatorTrump ...
Does #ToxicStarmer have Stockholm Syndrome?
Seems the only logical reason to sell out the UK and be subservient to #tyrant #Trump
