I just sent the emails as suggested by @chatcontrol because #surveillance is just one of the first steps toward #oppression . Thank you for the work you have done formulating the emails. I wouldn’t find the words anywhere near as nice or calm. It makes me angry and sad that I have to repeat this procedure every couple of months 🤬.

People take advantage of those they find to be bad. Because people find some individuals to be bad, they retaliate with badness towards the person they consider to be bad, using the justification that the person is bad. This is truly concerning.

In the #novel, I center the #people who are already getting displaced from their homes because of the effects of #climatechange. The #protagonist, Alia, is from Iran, a #country that is so severely affected by chronic #drought that relocating the entire #city of Tehran to a better location is actively under consideration. For #women, especially, the despair from #scarcity of #water sits on top of the immense #oppression they have faced for decades.
