#CUPE is likely going on #strike tomorrow morning and I'm having to restrain myself from telling off every asshole on the bird app who's bitching about it with their stupid "idontstandwithCUPE" hashtag.
Labour actions work. Just two weeks ago the mere suggestion that #labour would unite in a #GeneralStrike against #Ontario's unconstitutional strike-breaking law was enough to make Doug Ford buckle like a belt and go back to the table. Pity it wasn't enough to make his government deal in good faith but then I suspect they don't know how to do that.
Now CUPE's in a strike position and yeah, it sucks that your kids can't go to school and your life is going to be a teeny bit inconvenienced.
That's what happens with strikes, and the utter lack of class-consciousness is appalling. This is on the Ford government, not the education workers.
The working class and the employing class have nothing in common.
