Patocka realized that ideals like socialism, progress, independence, democratic spontaneity and freedom are not real.

He advocated for life in truth. A moral life. An responsible life.

He said that human rights are not the goal

they are only creating favorable conditions for that kind of life.

He talked of the bonum futurum of communism as a smokescreen to make other citizens ignorant about the crimes that where commited in for the reshaping of society, institutions and systems.

He died after an police interrogation in Czechia 1977.

he was born 1907 and had observed the flaws of the first democracies and the obvious evils of Nazism and was confronted with the not so obvious evils of communism.

Thus he had stopped buying ideologies.

What remained was immediate life.
