URGENT: 4-year-old child needs medical intervention: please amplify!
Location: Egypt
4-year-old Youssef, is in a life-threatening medical emergency. He has vomited blood and his haemoglobin has dropped from 13 to 6. He has been diagnosed with esophageal varices and portal vein thrombosis.
The family contacted PCRF and Heal Palestine, but they were told the case cannot be taken because it is considered chronic. The situation is urgent and time-sensitive.
This is a public call for:
• Medical organizations able to support treatment, referral, or transfer
• Journalists and media outlets to help bring attention so the child can access care in time
• Anyone able to put pressure on the two above to act.

The family has been been told to send their details to #ChildrenNotNumbers for review. Their fears are the case being turned away because they evacuated to Egypt. The doctors in Egypt have claimed there is no medical intervention available. The case is chronic, but things can definitely be done. Escalate pressure. 🙏

The family has not heard back from any organisations yet. Yousef's condition is extremely dangerous and unpredictable. Each episode is a life-threatening emergency. Access to specialised care is impeded by their lack of residential status.
Yousef is currently facing the prospect of being sent back to Gaza where access to treatment and the specialised nutrition he depends on will be a difficult.
