Measuring and improving your website’s carbon footprint

We’re at the beginning of the climate catastrophe. Sometimes I think: Just shut everything down. Nobody needs shiny websites when everything is burning. For now, however, we may at least be able to try to make a difference on our own websites. Here’s a super short guide for less technical people.

Adding a carbon.txt File

After seeing web crawlers request carbon.txt in our server logs, I turned to the Green Web Foundation website to create and add carbon.txt to our site.
