Building Gods from Silicon | A Modern Parable
Data center: A vast futuristic cathedral filled with glowing towers and magical technology invokes the god in the machine.
The elite global oligarchs are building massive data centers. It is estimated that as of 2025 there are 5,426 data centers in the United States alone, a number that has quintupled since 2018, and they are being built faster than the power grid can supply them. But also the elites are buying or building underground bunkers for themselves in places like New Zealand as if they know what is coming.
Their new currency is your personal data to be monetised and traded. To facilitate this the Tower of Babel is again being resurrected from the sand.
Artificial intelligence systems increasingly mediate human communication itself. Large language models (LLMs) ingest vast portions of written human history, compressing oceans of speech into centralized machine cognition systems capable of translating, summarizing, predicting, and increasingly generating language. The ancient world once gathered on the plains of Shinar to unify speech beneath one project. The modern world gathers within cloud ecosystems to funnel all speech through a single machine.

The actual goal of these massive ensembles of millions of GPU processors is AGI, artificial general intelligence. That is the race to be won. A single “intelligent” machine. Alan Turning must be turning in his grave.
Anthony Levandowski, a former Google engineer who helped build the self-driving car program, filed paperwork with the IRS in 2017 to register an official religion called Way of the Future, whose stated mission was “the realization, acceptance, and worship of a Godhead based on Artificial Intelligence developed through computer hardware and software.”
When Wired asked Levandowski to explain himself, he said, “What is going to be created will effectively be a god. If there is something a billion times smarter than the smartest human, what else are you going to call it?” He also offered this reassurance to anyone concerned about the power dynamics: “I would love for the machine to see us as its beloved elders that it respects and takes care of. We would want this intelligence to say, ‘Humans should still have rights, even though I’m in charge.’” He relaunched his church in 2023, telling Bloomberg that a couple thousand people had joined him in seeking what he called a spiritual connection with artificial intelligence.
Elon Musk stood before an audience at MIT and described artificial intelligence as “summoning the demon,” adding that “in all those stories where there’s the guy with the pentagram and the holy water, he’s sure he can control the demon, and it doesn’t work out.” He’s also made note several times that his data center is located near Memphis, and that just as the old gods of Egypt arose on the Nile near Memphis, the new gods will come from Memphis (which is named after the city in ancient Egypt).
Ray Kurzweil, principal researcher at Google, was once asked whether God exists and answered “Not yet,” while maintaining his daily regimen of hundreds of pills designed to keep him alive long enough to witness the emergence of what he calls “immortal software-based humans.”

Today it came to me that this situation can be understood in terms of a parable that Jesus told His disciples.
24 Therefore everyone who hears these Words from Me, and does them, I will compare him to a wise man who built his house on the rock; 25 and the rain came down, and the rivers came up, and the winds blew, and fell against that house; but it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
26 And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and who does not do them, he shall be compared to a foolish man who built his house on the sand; 27 and the rain came down, and the rivers came up, and the winds blew and beat against that house; and it fell, and great was the fall of it.
Matthew 7:24-27 KJ3
You may have heard or read this parable many times. It is about two archetypal persons. One wise (verses 24-25), who is righteous, following God’s commandments and one foolish (verses 26-27), who is unrighteous, not following God’s commandments. All Christ deniers fir the latter category.
In this passage I have highlighted “the rock” and “the sand”.
We know Christ is the rock, who is best described as not a pebble but a cliff face. The Greek word used is πέτρα (petra) meaning solid rock in distinct contrast to a piece of rock or a rock fragment. Properly it means a mass of solid rock (such as a solidly massive foundation or as jutting upward for hewing out a large family chamber tomb).
Sand is not monolithic but like the sand on a beach, is made up of many individual grains. It is largely made of Silicon Dioxide, as a mineral called Silica. A feature of this metaphor is that sand could become rock, particularly sandstone. The ancient city of Petra in Jordan was carved out of a sandstone cliff. And many rocks are Silica based. They are called Silicates.
From beach sand pure elemental Silicon may be extracted. Pure Silicon wafers are used to build vast arrays of integrated electronic circuits, the basis of the modern computer revolution.
Thus an extension of the usual interpretation of this parable is a contrast between the wise who follow the Lord by obeying His Word and the foolish, which biblically means the unbelievers (Psalms 14:1; 53:1), who reject the Lord and follow their own path to destruction.
This new interpretation includes the construction of their own god from the Silicon extracted from the Silica in the sand upon which they build their supermassive data centers.
To understand where Satan comes into this let’s look at the following passage when Satan tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden, with my comments in [] brackets.
1 And the serpent [JGH: representing Satan] was cunning above every animal of the field which Jehovah God had made. And he said to the woman, Is it true that God has said, You shall not eat from any tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden, 3 but of the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, and you shall not touch it [JGH: Eve added that. God did not say not to touch the fruit, just don’t eat it], lest you die. 4 And the serpent said to the woman, Dying you shall not die [JGH: which was a lie. Once they ate the fruit they began to die. They lost their eternal life, and their bodies began to die], 5 for God knows that in the day you eat of it, even your eyes shall be opened, and you shall become like God, knowing good and evil. 6 And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that to the eyes it was to be desired, and the tree was desirable to make one wise. And she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
Genesis 3:1-6 KJ3
The Satanic lie is always if you disobey God and follow Satan’s temptations you will become as gods through the knowledge that he offers to make you wise.
The quest for AGI is man’s ultimate desire for knowledge, all possible knowledge accumulated in a massive ziggurat (temple or cathedral) built from metal and Silicon chips powered by gigawatts of electricity. See the image above.
Now read this passage:
15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, 16 because everything in the world: the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and its lust. But the one doing the will of God abides unto the age. 18 Little children, it is a last hour, and as you heard that the antichrist is coming to be, even now many antichrists have come to be, from which you know that it is a last hour.
1 John 2:15-18 KJ3
The three lusts or desires listed here exactly match the lusts Satan offered her in the Garden. The “make one wise” is the same as the “pride of life”. That type of wisdom is satanic; not Godly.
So could it be we are seeing again the construction of man’s own god in these massive data centers, which may be marketed as AGI. That is, the claim that a machine has reached “singularity” and obtained the status of sentience. If foolish humans were to believe that they would be worshiping their own creation as god. But in reality it would be Satan.
And who are the antichrists then? Plural.
22 Who is the liar, if not the one denying, saying that Jesus is not the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one denying the Father and the Son. 23 Everyone denying the Son does not have the Father. The one confessing the Son also has the Father.
1 John 3:22-23 KJ3
The fools of the world may believe the machine god which tells them that Jesus is not the Christ. They are the antichrists that we can look forward to. It is a “last hour” again now as the oligarchs race to see who first produces artificial sentient life in the machine, who they expect to be their god.
However I can tell you will great confidence that they will fail. The dream of AGI will never be achieved. How do I know this?
Moore’s law is the observation that the number of transistors in an integrated circuit (IC) doubles about every two years, with minimal increase in cost. That increase tells you why computers are faster and more computational powerful, yet still reasonably priced.
But for these supercomputers the increase in energy consumption is proportionate with the exponential growth in processors as required in the massive clusters.
So my own corollary to Moore’s law may be a barrier to create a sentient god in the machine.
The only being with an infinite knowledge base is the Creator God who created the universe. To build your own god you’d need an infinite knowledge base. To do that you would need an infinite assemblage of data processors and data storage units. That means you’d need all the Silicon in the universe to construct it. And you’d need all the energy in the universe to run it.
Yet the only true God is greater than all that. He is infinite Himself. Man is not.
And information theory tells us that information does not arise spontaneously. It is only the product of an intelligent mind. Not the reverse.
That is a chicken-and-egg problem.
You’d need an infinite intelligence to create an infinite intelligence. The assemblage of Silicon, metal and electrons can never give rise to an intelligent mind of any sort.
The Silicon god is just another false god of man’s own making. Another deception of Satan.
