David AnoThe #Michigan Senate passed a bill banning the #GayPanic & #TransPanic defense in court. Rep Laurie Pohutsky introduced HB4718, saying, "I was a young queer person when Matt Shepard was murdered, & it was the first time, although I was not out yet, that I realized, 'Oh, this could be very dangerous for me." The bill now goes to the Governor for her signature.

Three gang members have been arrested after they allegedly tortured and killed a man on a hiking trail in Arizona, then sent photos of his body to his relatives, authorities said.
