Người dùng gặp sự cố khi dùng GPU Nvidia RTX Pro với Proxmox VM GPU passthrough. Sau khi reboot VM, card không được nhận diện (nvidia-smi báo lỗi), dù lspci vẫn thấy. Phải reboot cả host Proxmox mới dùng được lại. Trong khi đó, card RTX 5090 vẫn hoạt động bình thường sau khi reboot VM.

Looking into gpu passthrough on Arch Linux, it would make things easier. Seems a bit complicated and I'm not entirely sure I want two GPUs in my computer.

Cet article est le dernier d’une série de cinq articles traitant de l’installation et de la configuration de VMs (Linux,BSD,Windows et macOS) en PCI Passthrough sur Proxmox VE 8. Nous nous retrouvons aujoud’hui pour la configuration de notre dernière VM sous macOS. Je me doit de vous précisez cependant que Proxmox ne supporte pas, du moins officiellement, ce type de système d’exploitation. Vous allez d’ailleurs le remarquer la configuration sera un peu plus ”éxotique” que pour une simple VM sous Linux, BSD ou Windows.

@conner Für Spiele aus dem Epic Games Launcher verwende ich unter Linux (auf #endeavouros ) den #heroicgameslauncher - funktioniert wunderbar. Leider hat #Epic die #EAC Unterstützung für #Fortnite unter Linux deaktiviert, daher wird #Fortnite unter Linux leider nicht laufen. Alternativ kannst du Windows auf einer #VM installieren mit #GPUPassthrough...

Ich wollte mal versuchen, wie es ist in einer virtuellen Maschine zu zocken, aber ohne die Möglichkeit auch nur die #iGPU durchzureichen (Der #Pentium G4560 unterstützt dies leider nicht), wird das wohl nichts. Nicht mal #Steam will richtig starten.

Ist wohl ein Projekt, dass ich etwas zurückstellen muss.

The x logs show X is trying to start the drm on the RX6400 for some reason. Is it supposed to do that when that card is assigned to vifo-pci?

Now that I have configured and setup a #Windows 10 VM with #GPUPassthrough and removed the physical Windows installation I come to realize that I actually almost do not need that anymore. Just a few games like #Hellletloose require me to start that VM. Hopefully that is not needed anymore soon! #Linux #libvirt

Now that I have #GPUPassthrough working I do not need #Windows installed on my 2nd NVMe M2 drive anymore so I could format that drive. Makes me think what the best way would be to reclaim that and use it for my #Linux partition/install. My setup is uber simple right now:

Any advice is more then welcome!
