Приветствую всех! Думаю, при упоминании знаменитого бага в процессоре Intel Pentium на ум сразу приходит ошибка деления . Но, как оказывается, она была не единственным косяком этих чипов. Первые “пеньки” имели ещё одну интересную особенность: существовали “роковые” четыре байта, выполнение которых заставляло компьютер зависнуть намертво. #thinclient Dell OptiPlex 3000 TC mit #pentium Silver-Prozessor. 16 GByte RAM und 64 GByte eMMC, integriert. Steckplatz für weitere #ssd vorhanden. Preislich erschwinglich.
Leider mit unpassendem Netzteil geliefert (zu dicker Stecker), aber Ersatz ist auf dem Weg.

Oracle looked like it had more. I borrowed the money from my dad and bought my first computer in 1997. #Windows 95. I learned #Oracle 7 on a 1 gig hard drive. A #Pentium 120. The only thing else it would fit was #Microsoft Word. LOL. I lost the #OS so many times I lost count. 😹😹😹

Rewatching these NYPD Blue eps has triggered other memories from that time. When season 1 was happening I had gotten a small cash influx from my grandparents, so I ordered a ZEOS Pentium 90 (complete with FDIV bug, and don't ask me how much it cost!).

The rep from ZEOS was really cool and it turned out she was a huge NYPD Blue fan also, so we would talk about the show.

I always wondered what happened to that woman. We had such fun talking on the phone.
