Franchthi Cave in der Kalksteinwand an der Nordseite der Koiladha-Bucht birgt im Inneren eine der längsten durchgehenden Siedlungsgeschichten Griechenlands. Seit dem Jungpaläolithikum hinterließen hier Menschen über Zehntausende von Jahren Spuren - von einfachen Steinwerkzeugen und Muschelschmuck bis hin zu Keramik, Ackerbau und Viehhaltung. Heute ist die Höhle teilweise eingestürzt und von alten Grabungsschnitten durchzogen, verfügt aber über gute Informationstafeln, die den Ort nachvollziehbar erschließen.
