CLondoner92 (New Account)#Supertram has launched a new #Community Ambassador #Volunteer Programme aimed at improving the #tram network while strengthening links with communities across South #Yorkshire. Building on work already carried out by the operatorβs Presentation team, the scheme will involve volunteers in activities including planting, litter picking, painting, light maintenance and support for local events to help create cleaner and more welcoming spaces around tram stops.
The programme also aims to provide wider social benefits by helping participants develop skills, build confidence and support wellbeing through community involvement. Managing director Sean English said the initiative would encourage people to take pride in their local areas while helping improve the network. Volunteers will receive free tram #travel on activity days. Further information and registration details are available on the Supertram website.
