It was 1973 and I was on a family vacation visiting the 19th century mining boomtown of Virginia City, Nevada. My parents wanted to take a boring--to a 15-year-old boy--tour of a Victorian home dubbed "The Castle" and later to browse the dozens of gift shops on C Street.

I decided to go checkout the creepy looking ghost town cemetery.

Nope, not the remains of an ancient Native structure but rather leftover trash from the movie industry. Valley of Fire Nevada State Park has been the location for many movie sets. These remains are from The Professionals (1966). It was a film about an American rancher, hired guns, the Mexican Revolution, and Pancho Villa.

I used the drop box at the Centennial Hills YMCA polling location. I was there about 12:30 PM today.

Parking was plentiful. There was no line to vote in person, and there were no disturbances (no intimidating or physical hinderances) when I was there.
