“There’s nothing there for them to find, but there’s plenty they can do badly with the information, with citizens’ private information,” Benson said, adding the govt could “potentially use it to hurt our #democracy & #election systems.”
Secretaries of state for #Michigan & #Nevada said in a Tuesday news conference that they & other secretaries will coordinate to oppose a wide-ranging #federal request for #VoterData.
The #Trump #DOJ earlier this month announced it has sued #Oregon & #Maine for failing to turn over their voter registration lists. That was the first time it brought lawsuits against #states in its effort to get detailed voter data.
