I think we need to stop restricting things, and start actually educating things that make ourselves and those around us have better lives.

Like we shouldn't need a degree or to have to sort through contradicting information just to keep ourselves healthy. All this stuff should be easily accessible information.

Information should be free!

Now that the @internetarchive is (mostly) working again, found reference in Ron Goulart's "The Adventurous Decade" to a librarian appearing in the 1934 "Dickie Dare" comic strip ... so moved over to UNT's online newspaper archive & found the exact strip in question!

Recently, I had to signin to #facebook to gettimely updates from my local #government and #newsmedia. What a #dumpsterfire. Do they not realize that some #information must remain in #chronological order.

It's high time that governments and news outlets stop relying on #centralized #socialmedia owned by #techbros to dissiminate info to the people. There is no reason why #public organizations cannot stand up their own #fediverse instances.
