First day of the year, first film of the year: restored cut of 1930s French classic, L'atalante at the Filmhouse.

Last saw this way back in my student days, in the very same Filmhouse, in the Long Ago. Nice to see it again after all these years, especially with dear French chum, who had never seen it before.

Our film was a bit too early to grab lunch before, so a late lunch in the café-bar afterwards. For Jan 1st the Filmhouse made the full breakfast available all day, so I had the yummy veggie one, which lovely chum decided to pay for as a late birthday present
