Splurged on taxi, so much quicker than the bus takes to hospital, result: arrive half hour too early. And since on no food or fluids till after the op, couldn't even have a coffee (if cafe was open yet, which it isn't!). Oh well, better early than late.

Saw the old car showroom on Dundee Street, near the top end of Dalry Cemetery, has been reduced to rubble over the course of the last few days.

Hoping it isn't going to be a site for yet another student block, multiple ones within the neighbourhood already, including one directly across from this site
