Adding to my #bicycle and #EDC emergency kits:
PDI Super Sani-Cloth sanitizing wipes (benzalkonium chloride and isopropyl alcohol) and Grease Monkey mechanics' degreaser wipes (D-limonene).

This is in addition to the Zeiss lens wipes and isopropyl alcohol prep pads that I've already added.

Just two each will go in a little zipper lock plastic baggie inside each kit. They seem like they could be very useful.

I’m about to get in the shower to go to the grocery store, when I hear what sounds like high winds outside my house. I checked the weather app on my tablet, and it’s 8 mph winds gusting to 21 mph. Glad I’m riding an ebike, glad it’s a short trip. #BikeTooter #FediBike

After the magical sunset at Newborough Beach, I wake up to find Wales suddenly showing a completely different side: gray, wet, and very rainy. 🌧️

Zuri and I set off for the place with the famously long name on Anglesey. We've barely arrived when it starts to rain—and doesn't stop for hours. Luckily, we find a small local café that welcomes dogs. There, I hear about a house in the middle of the river where, at high tide, the water simply flows through the ground floor. Wales sometimes tells stories you could hardly make up.

When the rain finally lets up, we continue on to the Llŷn Peninsula. The scenery is beautiful, but the hills are quite challenging with a fully loaded bike and dog trailer. That evening, we land in a small village—and once again, a door opens: Owen, who runs the local pub, spontaneously offers me a place to sleep behind the pub.....

I've narrowed my #bicycle search down to 3 potential candidates. I'm 185-186 cm, wear skirts, prefer flat bars and stable handling, 100% road, utility and fitness riding.

Surly Disc Trucker 62 cm
Soma Fabrications Buena Vista Disc 62 cm
State Bicycle Co. 4130 All-Road Large (slightly smaller, no XL size)

All will fit 42-622 (700c x 42) tires with fenders. That is the largest size I can find in both studded Winter tires and Summer tires from Schwalbe and Continental.

Trotz #Asphalt viel Dreck, der #Mohn blüht und der #Lieblingsplatz ist frei. Schön.

28km ohne Anstieg aber extrem anstrengend. Warum ? Keine Ahnung. Hohe #Luftfeuchtigkeit oder so.

Außerdem werde ich alt: ich habe mir Gedanken über eine gefederte #Sattelstütze gemacht.
