@Fairphone Yesterday I updated my #Fairphone2 to the new release and since then, mobile data as well as Wi-Fi are dead. And it seems that I am not the only one, either:

But with me, neither reboot, nor setting a new APN or resetting the Network would fix anything. That's a rather unacceptable regression and so I have to warn against this update and suggest to wait for the next minor release.

Nur dass bei mir weder Reboot noch sämtliches Gefrickel mit APN neu anlegen, Network reset etc pp hilft. Ich kann vor dem Update nur warnen und raten, den nächsten minor Release abzuwarten.

@Fairphone Like someone who brought us much less sustainable phones said, that is INSANELY GREAT! I now have a 6 year old #FairPhone2, refurbished 2 years ago, got a new camera, and has been updated to a new #Android this summer. It's running great and will get one Android version more with an additional year of support.

Above all, it's running on the fully #OpenSource, #privacy-respecting, #degoogled #FairPhoneOpen OS.

You at #Fairphone are amazing! You're changing the world. Keep going!

They ship with Google on board. You can buy through another route apparently. Which is not really in our interest.

We don't know why they dropped the FP2 with #FairphoneOpen.

What we know from history is #weCantHaveNiceThings.

Maybe delete the concept of a #smartphone from our minds?
