Interesting find on F-Droid: I was able to install it on my Fairphone 3+ running the latest /e/OS. So far I just triggered it as a regular app. If I get it right, this works as a launcher. While I have not figured out – for lack of The Switch on any FP other than the FP6 – any specific gesture inside the app to go back to the default launcher, just choosing an app (e.g. Camera) in Fairphone Moments takes you to that app (as intended) and then allows to return to the default launcher as usual...

If anyone in or around #Copenhagen or #Oslo need spare parts for a #fairphone3, I have a device with a broken core module where everything else should be working fine. Happy to give away parts to anyone who needs it!

The camera is upgraded to 3+. The battery has some sticker marks but works well, and the plastic back cover is slightly damaged but stays attached without issue.

Alternatively if anyone has a broken #fairphone_3 with a functional core module I'd be interested in buying! :)

Slightly overshadowed by the start of the Android 16 rollout to the Fairphone 6, there has also been an update for the 📲 FAIRPHONE 3️⃣ yesterday. – Interesting change from this update: Fairphone 3 bootloader unlocking is now possible without a code (this does NOT apply to Fairphone 4, 5 and 6). This should make switching to a custom ROM easier which seems especially helpful given the end of Android 13 support from Google. /u
