You can be forgiven not for knowing this, since the official web and Android app don't expose this functionality!
There are other clients that do, though. For example, the Tusky client for Android has a clock button under the text area when you're composing, that you can tap on to specify the date and time when you want the post to be published.

Jeroen SZ 🦣@jorgecandeias Well, I tried a few other clients in the last few weeks because of the quote issue (which I miss having only occasionally). #Pachli gave error after error. The main #Mastodon app is not bad but it doesn't allow deleting notifications in the app (AFA I could figure out), so this becomes messy. So it's back to #Tusky for me.

Development seems to have stalled. I mean, soon it'll be a year since Mastodon introduced quote posting and the app is still only able to display it.
This may be a nasty consequence of accelerating the rythm of development of the main thing: smaller projects start struggling to keep up?

HellaAuf Tusky (für Android) kann man die Anzahl der Likes usw. ausblenden, wenn einen das stört (Einstellungen>Wohlbefinden). Und ich glaube das anderswo auch schon gesehen zu haben.

I use one to follow and share about politics (@unutao), an other one to spread OpenSource IT tips (@rezolibre), an other to share local events (@nantes), and this one to follow artistic expressions, when I just want to chill out. 😉
It's really easy to switch between those different accounts with some mobile apps like #Tusky for example, or with Firefox Multi-Account Containers on a computer.
