Hope we all made it thru the night OK. No sunshine again this morning. The ostrich ferns are enjoying the cool dim. Plucked many dead burnt fronds off today and was pleased to see happy fresh ones underneath growing happily.

I figured out a way to include a little printmaking (for me and the 11yo both) during our time at the lake in New Brunswick! I coated some watercolour paper with photochemicals and made an opaque light-proof envelope and brought them with me. We could walk around the camp (what people here call a cottage) and gathered some ferns, leaves and wildflowers and made cyanotypes in the sun.
