Missed a great opportunity, alas.
Twas the night for another bulk cook, for tonight's din-dins plus the coming week. Stirfry in the wok, rice n bits in the saucepan. Got the rice going; onto lowest flame for the absorption process to proceed, after first bringing near boiling. Next to chop up all the veggies for the wok. Chop chop cut cut, bung into wok. Chop chop cut cut, bung into wok. Chop chop cut... hey, i can't hear the rice, seem to have a bit of a headache, feel a bit dizzy, say, that almost smells like gas, but how? Oh bloody hell, sometime after i turned the rice flame down to minimum, the damn thing's gone right out... with the gas still flowing. That's a rare event here, why did it do that? 🤷 Off with the gas via knob, sprint to backdoor & open it, vigorous flapping of tea-towel. Chop chop cut cut, bung into wok. Sniff sniff, hmm, seems to have dissipated, so back on with the rice flame, again to low, & this time yes the bugger is still burning. Chop chop cut cut, bung... oh you silly dropbear, why did you do what you did? Why the knob off, the backdoor open? Why didn't you just do the smart thing, & simply lie down? Silly dopey dropbear 🙄🤦♀️ Ah well, maybe next time 🤨🤔
