๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Massive Attack "Blue Lines" โ€“ 1991

A foundational record that effectively defined trip-hop. The album blends hip-hop rhythms, dub basslines, soul influences, and atmospheric production into a slow-burning, immersive sound. Different vocalists adds depth and variation, giving the album a fluid, collective identity...

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง The Chemical Brothers "Dig Your Own Hole" โ€“ 1997

A defining big beat landmark that's raw, sample-heavy, and built for maximum impact. The album fuses breakbeat intensity with acid lines, distorted bass, and psychedelic flourishes, creating a sound that is both chaotic and tightly controlled.

#Vinyl #NowSpinning Miles Davis - Live Evil

In my early 20s I went through a period where I couldn't stop listening to Bitches Brew when studying for exams. About 10 years ago I bought some of the other 1970s Miles Davis records and this was one of them. I'm really fascinated at just how forward thinking this era of Miles Davis was. The noiser songs are funky, but also remind me almost of 90's noise rock. No coincidence that Buzz Osborne is a fan. Not exactly easy listening, but I like it.
