Inkscape color management for dummies
Eventually, after months working on this, mostly for lack of spare time, and very very delayed… my latest #gemlog that also opens this 2026…

For all the experts and non-experts… Is it possible, or would it possible, to have a plain text image format?
Something that can be diffable and you can track changes as for instance the #SVG format. It looks like all these control versions, like #git, aren't very suitable to handle format like #png, #jpg ,etc… They can only handle them as a binary blob and track if it has changed and re-upload or re-download fully.
Long-story short: handle the creation of catalog with #Fossil-scm hasn't been very good regarding managing the huge amount of pictures…
Wth! I just learned that you can open photos / files / pictures directly from #Digikam in #Krita just by draggin and dropping the thumbnail into Krita / the icon in the taskbar of #KDE Plasma from Digikam 🤯

Is it possible to change the edge / point that is scaled from and to when using the inputs in the top bar or the Transform tab?
It seems to always use the upper left corner, but e.g. Scribus / Illustrator have a function where you can change that, does this exist for Inkscape?

Big kudos to the #Gimp team!
I've just tested out the brand new version 3 and the most wanted feature, non-destructive-editig, just blew my mind!
I haven't realized that now, everything that is based on GEGL is editable, it is just amazing, this goes beyond what I expected as non-destructive-editing.
There are still plenty of room for improvements though , I hope in the future they will add a layer mask for each effect and the opacity channel to determine the amount of the intensity.
Nevertheless this result by itself it is just amazing and superior to other commercials solution even in its infantry!
This will boost my workflow cause now I can modify colors on my images without degrading the original ones and exporting the working file as jpeg-xl, this is already a pro level!
Just in time for the end of the year I was finally able to finalize the final piece of my project.
Now I have a background of the pages that dinamically changes based on certain conditions.
The code is not elegant as I would, but it works as expected and this is fundamental.
Thus the whole code is "ready", now I can focus on the marketing stuff.
I look forward to make this project finally taking of!
